SAP LeanIX Export

Export from Stackgini directly into your SAP LeanIX Inventory. Stackgini automatically drafts the factsheet fields for you, and creates the corresponding Initiative and Application factsheets.

What it does

The SAP LeanIX Export closes the loop from a Stackgini Decision back into your enterprise architecture inventory in SAP LeanIX. Instead of manually re-entering initiative or application details, the Stackgini Agent uses the data already captured in the Decision to populate the factsheets intelligently.

Each export creates:

  • One Initiative factsheet representing the Decision and required to track your transformations in SAP LeanIX.
  • One Application factsheet for every application in status Adopt within the Decision.
  • A relation linking each Application factsheet to the Initiative factsheet.

Every factsheet is created in Draft status, so nothing is published until your architecture team reviews and confirms it in SAP LeanIX.

Before you start

  • The export is only available once the Decision is Completed.
  • You need permission to run a SAP LeanIX export. In Organization Settings Admins can configure with the Export Decisions to SAP LeanIX permission who can do this in Stackgini.

How to run an export

  1. Open the completed Decision and select Export in the top right.
  2. Choose SAP LeanIX from the dropdown.
  3. Step 1, Initiative Fact Sheet. Review the Initiative name and the AI drafted content like for example the description, confirm the subtype, and check the lifecycle dates. Select Continue.
  4. Step 2, Application Fact Sheet. Review the application name, the AI drafted description, and the functional fit. Repeat for each application in status Adopt. Select Export to LeanIX.
  5. On the confirmation screen you see the created Initiative and Application factsheets and go to SAP LeanIX to inspect them. Select Done.

Fields marked "Drafted by AI" should always be reviewed before exporting. You can edit any value in the wizard before it is sent.

Additional fields that get written to SAP LeanIX:

External ID. Every factsheet is stamped with a unique Stackgini External ID. This keeps the LeanIX record traceable back to its source in Stackgini.

Initiative lifecycle. The lifecycle dates are set automatically from the Decision:

  • Plan is the date the first iteration of the Decision was launched (decision preparation phase).
  • Phase In is the date the Decision was completed (approved and starting).

Application lifecycle. "Phase In" on the Application factsheet reflects when the application is being built or acquired.

Backlink to Stackgini. The export also creates a backlink under Resources on both the Initiative and the Application factsheet, pointing back to the source Decision in Stackgini for easy navigation between the two systems.
